About the Group
Yordan “Trombón” Martinez, founder of The Cuban Martinez Show (TCMS), is an unparalleled musician, trombonist, innovative arranger, composer and above all musical director. Born in Cienfuegos, Cuba, he grew up in a bubbling musical environment that deeply inspired and influenced him throughout his career. Yordan Martinez founded The Cuban Martinez Show in 2010 for the Montreal Festival of Lights. Since then, he has crisscrossed Quebec, brining Cuban rhythms to many festival spectators.
About the concert
A unique evening awaits dancers and Latin music lovers alike! Under the musical direction of trombonist Yordan Martinez, the group brings together seven Cuban- and Montreal-born musicians on stage and performs the rhythms of salsa, timba, cha-cha-cha, bachata, and merengue.
