About the Artist
At the age of twelve, she became the youngest participant in the 2006 edition of the Montreal Jazz Festival. An admirer of Ella Fitzgerald, in 2008 she recorded the classic Air Mail Special for the musical compilation We All Love Ella, and released an album dedicated to the grand dame. It was nominated for two Junos in the Jazz Album and New Artist of the Year categories. At the start of 2010, this prodigy singer wowed spectators by singing the Canadian national anthem at the Vancouver Winter Olympics.
About the concert
Inspired by the greats Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Nina Simone and Amy Winehouse, for the first time, 25-yearold Nikki will present her new yet characteristic sound. Always jazz, in a world of pop!
