Julie Leblanc et Jean-François Groulx

A jazz look at our 70s... in French

 [ JAZZ FRANCOPHONE ]

About the artists

Julie Leblanc has been singing professionally since 1987. Since its inception, it has been interested in all styles. It is with the same passion, the same conviction that she approaches all projects. Pop, jazz, R & B, country, everything is done with ease thanks to an impeccable technique! This versatility and her warm personality quickly put Julie at the top of the list. She soon attracted the attention of the greatest names as a chorister, first in Quebec with Lara Fabien, Isabelle Boulay, Garou, Ginette Reno and many others, then on the international scene, notably with Céline Dion.

First pianist and composer/arranger, multi-instrumentalist Jean-François Groulx is the recipient of the Du Maurier Prize at the FIJM and the André-Gagnon Prize at the SPACQ. He has performed with many artists from the popular scene, world music and jazz. He has also participated in many albums as a musician and creator. He also has 7 albums in his name. He currently accompanies Edgar Bori and is a member of the house orchestra of the TV show En direct de l' Univers.

About the concert

After Piano à Gogo raised the roof last year, the duo is back once again, this time to present to the public the best of francophone jazz from the 1970s. A beautiful return to the past as the festival attendees start heading home!
