About the collective
JLOM defines itself as a specific group within the Canadian jazz world. Generally made up of 8 musician leaders, depending on the project it can grow to 12-22 musicians. JLOM explores different styles of musical writing supported by breathtaking composers and musicians. Since its creation in 2003, the group has always been passionate about originality, striving to bring together a core of surprising artists using inspiration to develop each project.
About the concert
JazzLab Orchestra offers jazz for curious ears, delving into a sophisticated world of sound guided by artistic director Alain Bédard (bass) and seven of Quebec’s best jazz musicians, including Samuel Blais (saxophone), Jacques Kuba Séguin (trumpet) and Félix Stüssi (piano).
