About the Artist
Originally from Toronto, Carol Welsman, jazz pianist and singer, has had her talent recognised by the Canadian music industry on several occasions, including six Juno Award nominations. Over the years during her world tours, her audiences have become used to shows with orchestras that loyally represent the arrangements found on her albums.
About the concert
With For You, she is stepping outside her comfort zone. Alone at the piano, she sings a selection of songs chosen by her fans on her Facebook page. With her warm, sensual voice, she has recorded an intimate album bursting with romanticism, reflecting her style. On the program, classics such as Skylark, It Had To Be You, My Foolish Heart, but also Les parapluies de Cherbourg, Les moulins de mon Coeur, and an emotional version of Jean-Pierre Ferland’s classic Une chance qu’on s’a, and many others.
