Rachel Therrien
Between New York and Montreal, Quebec trumpeter, composer and producer Rachel Therrien has an impressive resume as an established jazz musician, playing a wide range of musical styles and rhythms.
Winner of the 2015 TD Grand Prize at the renowned Montreal International Jazz Festival, the 2016 Stingray Jazz Rising Star Award and nominated as Best Jazz Producer at the 2018 IMA, Rachel shares the stage with many world-renowned musicians in clubs, festivals and on television throughout the Americas and Caribbean.
Rachel Therrien has produced five albums: VENA (2020), Why Don't You Try (2017), Pensamiento: Colombia (2016), Home Inspiration (2014) and On Track (2011), released on Bonsaï Musique (FR), Multiple Chord Music (CA) & Truth Revolution Records (USA). She has received many positive reviews from critics in La Presse, Le Devoir, All About Jazz, New York Hot House, Downbeat Editor's Pick, Latin Jazz Corner, to name a few. For the past few years she has been touring her own projects throughout Canada, USA, Europe, Ukraine, Mexico and more, storming the most prestigious jazz clubs and festivals.
